Well, so much for this being a background project - they fairly flew! Hand-knitted toe-up socks from Dimity's penny sock pattern. 74 rounds for a UK size 7 foot, 15 rounds after the heel, 40 rows 2x2 rib. They're lovely and soft, and they have actually overtaken the machine-knitted ones which are stuck in Second Sock Syndrome limbo! :)
