Mum seemed really pleased with her cardigan - but I don't think she's a size 16, it looked a little tight.
Made a start on my first design project for the MK course, and already it's a funny shape - the jumper back (a complex abstract intarsia pattern) was 20 rows too long, but even shortened it's too long and thin. The sleeve looks too short, too. Methinks it's a disaster before it's even begun!
Got a few more bits done for the course, anyway - the single bed colour changer is really cool, now I feel ashamed that mine is still in its box - next week I'm doing plating, the knitleader and blocking, and then trying to rectify my project I expect!
Finally finished the back of the ballet cardigan, well, four more rows or so to go. Then it's sleeves, which should go really quick. Now I remember why I switched to machine knitting - it's just soooo much faster, especially for stocking stitch.
Made a trial sock for Greg from another pattern. "It fits perfectly!" he cried. Till I pointed out that he'd pulled it on too far and the heel was up the back of his ankle. Beginning to think this brown marl acrylic has a mind of its own - everything I knit with it, comes out too long.
Made some crochet squares for the Cov Knit-Wits project - they're roughly 10cm square...
