Needle: 5mm US#8

Checkerboard dishcloth



Cast on 36 stitches.
Knit 9 rows.
Row 10: K6, [K4,P4) to last 6 sts, K to end
Repeat last row a further 4 times
Row 16: K6, [P4, K4) to last 6 sts, K to end
Repeat last row a further 4 times
Repeat rows 10-20 a further 2 times
Knit 9 rows.
Cast off.

Gingham dishcloth

Cast on 35 stitches
Knit 5 rows
Row 6: K5, [P5, K1, P1, K1, P1, K1] to last 10 sts, P5, K5
Row 7: K5, [K5, P1, K1, P1, K1, P1] to last 10 sts, K to end
Repeat rows 6 and 7 two more times.
Row 12: K10, [P1, K1, P1, K1, P1, K5] to last 5 sts, K to end
Repeat row 12 a further 4 times.
Repeat rows 6 to 16 a further 2 times
Knit 5 rows
Cast off.
