Just wanted to say...

...that the top "ravthlete" in last month's Ravelympics was Machine knitting's own Grammylove, with a total of 33 completed projects. Second place went to Coffeeandcream, 32 hand-knitted projects.

Rise of the Machines, indeed.

Well done to all who took part, including the mods that kept everything running behind the scenes.

Finished the second mini-mochi sock this morning, will take them for a test run this weekend I expect. Swatched some 2x2 rib for the Cog's new jumper. This time around it's going to be set-in sleeves and a round neck. Raglans + ribbing is just too time-consuming.

Current mood: happy

Showing off my medals!

I'm a Ravthlete! :D

My collection of medals - most were entered for TeamMk (Rise of the Machines), and one item, the hand-knitted waistcoat I added a machine-knitted back to, for TeamGB. Despite some visits from the machine gremlins, it was a very productive two weeks and motivated me to really make inroads into my stash.

Many thanks to Ozlorna for all her hard work in keeping us organised as team captain.

Ribbing is a bit loose on this one, but he seemed happy enough with it.

It was supposed to be a stole, but it came out quite narrow, so it's a fancy scarf instead. Made on the Brother 260 in Austermann Starlight, which is a ladder yarn.

Easy Passap socks with silver

Made with Fyberspates sock yarn which has silver in it - sparkly!

We shall not speak of the troubles with the second sock, and the dropped stitches that were repaired.

Entered in the sock hockey and samalog Ravelympics events.

NOW - I'm off downstairs to make me a Ravelympics t-shirt. Yes, I'm THAT sad!! :)

Hand-knitted fronts, machine-knitted back. Started in 2008, and finished for the WIPSdancing event for Ravelympics 2010.

Hoping to use the rest of the black (a boucle with neon accents) for a sleeveless top at some point.
