Well, 15 false starts, a bout of sulking and a pub meal later, and I have a banner. There are three white stripes across it, but I think I can hide that with a bit of swiss darning. I have a blister from 1200+ passes of the carriage, and back-ache. I'm pretty happy with it though.
The also-rans... Nope, I don't feel like unpicking them, either!
