CSM day, June 8th 2013

Just a quick post to say that the CSM day went really well; raffle prizes were won (wine and chocs); socks were knitted and new things learned. I learnt I can remove and insert needles without taking the spring off (doesn't work if there's a stitch involved though) and I also played with various ribs. M brought some notes on how to knit a CSM version of the sweet tomato heel so I also had a go at that. Martyn was probably the only person to actually finish with some socks to show for it.

Mia's wonderful fairisle socks - she does the fairisle on the CSM, must have the patience of a saint!!

Mary: proof that you can knit more things than just socks:

Various ribs - working left to right 4x1, 3x1, 2x1, 1x1. Note the size change - I did not change the tensions on the machine
